Position Summary: The General Manager (GM) of D1 North Shore will lead daily operations, manage a dynamic team, and drive business growth through sales, member engagement, and operational excellence. This role demands an entrepreneurial mindset, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for health and fitness. The GM will be responsible for ensuring every member receives the D1 Training experience while managing the facility’s financial performance and fostering a culture of excellence. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Revenue Growth: Drive membership sales and upsell training packages, meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets. Achieve a 50% close rate on new leads by building strong relationships and effectively communicating the value of D1 Training. Develop and implement strategies to boost member retention and engagement. Oversee special events, such as community outreach and member appreciation days. Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of coaches, sales staff, and front desk personnel. Conduct weekly staff meetings to review performance metrics, set goals, and drive team accountability. Provide one-on-one weekly coaching to ensure professional growth and high performance. Set the standard for work ethic with a first in and the last out mentality, maintaining a hands-on leadership approach. Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, membership services, and facility maintenance. Ensure the facility meets D1 standards for cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency. Assist with member progress check-ins, membership onboarding, and payment processing. Ensure a world-class experience for all members, from youth athletes to professionals. Financial Accountability: Manage the facility's P&L, providing monthly financial reports and reviewing budget performance with ownership. Track and manage expenses, inventory, and facility overhead. Collaborate with ownership to set financial goals and ensure long-term business growth. Member Engagement & Experience: Be the face of D1 North Shore, creating a welcoming, supportive environment for all members. Engage directly with members, ensuring each interaction reflects D1’s standard of excellence. Provide hands-on support for front desk operations, including answering member inquiries, assisting with check-ins, and processing payments. Qualifications: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 3+ years of management experience, ideally in the fitness industry. Proven track record in sales, with the ability to consistently exceed targets. Strong leadership and team development skills, with a passion for mentoring staff. Financial acumen, including P&L management and budget forecasting. Positive, energetic, and driven personality with a “can-do” attitude. Ability to thrive under pressure, maintaining professionalism in front of members. “First one in, last one out” mentality with a deep commitment to the success of the business.
